The 9th Chinese Tianjin Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival

Tianjin is the center of Mazu culture in northern China, the Tianhou Palace in Tianjin is one of the largest Mazu temples in the world, with over 700 years history.


In 2009, The United Nations educational, scientific and cultural organization (UNESCO) has listed the Mazu belief in human intangible cultural heritage.


There are near 5000 Mazu Temples in the world, spread across Singapore, Malaysia, France, the United States and other countries.

To carry forward Tianjin traditional culture, the 9th Chinese Tianjin Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival was help on 26 Sep. 2018.


This festival invites over 500 representatives at home and abroad to join the festival, to share the Mazu culture and further promoting the cross-strait communication and cooperation.


There are 3 characteristics in this festival: Traditional activities, Cultural & economic exchanges and Encourage frugality. The most distinctive feature is, this is the first time to introduce large lighting show for Mazu festival to instead of traditional theatrical performances.


The lighting show uses over 500pcs ACME XP-20R BSW and MP-400Z IP professional stage lighting, and ACME as the distributor of Canadian MDG fog generators also provided ATMe haze generator & theONE weather generator in this festival.


With the interaction between the colorful lights and the fog, the naked eye 3D projection, sound and other technological, people can feel the local cultural and modern urban fashion in the festival.


Mazu culture has a long history, with the novel and exciting lighting show, to produce a very wonderful feeling, which makes young people pay more attention to traditional culture.



With the opening of the 9th Chinese Tianjin Mazu Culture Tourism Festival, a three-day cultural event will bring more meaningful activities to visitors.



Mazu culture, as a precious heritage of traditional Chinese culture, with its unique attraction and inspirational, has become a spiritual link connecting on both sides of the Taiwan straits with global Chinese people.
