Sponsored by the China Disabled Persons’ Federation and the State Sports General Administration, the 10th Disabled People’s Games of the People’ Republic of China and the 7th Special Olympics Games hosted by the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, it was held in Tianjin from August 25th to September 1st.

On the evening of the 25th, with the sound of the song “Glory and Dream” of the Games, the flags of the National Disabled People’s Games, the Olympic Games and the current sports meeting rose, which marked the official start of the opening ceremony.

The style performance is based on the theme of “Embrace the Sun”. It is divided into four charpters: Catch Sunshine, Live Sunshine, Share Sunshine and Embrace Sunshine.

In order to match with the chapter “Embrace Sunshine”, the organizer specially selected ACME XA-1000 BSWF, XP-380 BEAM II, CM-700Z and other multi-functional modern stage lightings. The light projected by each fixture, the colorful lightings makes Tianjin city under the glory night.

CCTV Sports Channel broadcasted the opening ceremony lively. ACME professional stage lighting matched the dance elements of the whole venue, and the performances were wonderful. It deeply demonstrated the spirit of self-improvement and hard work of disabled people and the deep appreciation of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China, which expressed his sincere love and good wishes to his motherland.

The 10th National Disabled People’s Games and the 7th Special Olympics Games are a comprehensive test of the sports work for the disabled and also provide an important platform for the exchange between disabled athletes.

Compared with the previous ones, it also created four “firsts”: the first national comprehensive sports event for disabled people held after China’s socialism entered a new era; the first time the city held the National Games and the Disabled People’s Games and Special Olympics Games; the first time to increase winter sports for the disabled; the first time to increase sports’ items for the disabled.

While we are feeling the development of China's economy, we also feel the profound influence of humanity in China.
