ACME Lighting Created a Sparkling Rig for Thomas Rhett Tour 2021

Thomas RhettEN announced he’ll kick off his headlining Center Point Road Tour on August 13th, 2021 with back-to-back nights in Orange Beach, Alabama. Special guests Cole Swindell and Gabby Barrett will join him when he returns to the road this summer.

The tour totally made 23 stops in Philadelphia, West Palm Beach, Chicago, Boston, St. Louis, and Charlotte, wrapping on October 9th in Raleigh, North Carolina, and roamed the U.S. in late summer and fall.

Following a cancelled 2020 tour, the artist was eager to get back on the road and was among the first to announce a 2021 tour schedule. "Thomas was excited to engage with his fans again," the lighting director Alec Takahashi said, "He really wanted to push for a show that was all lighting and leave video elements behind in order to put more focus on the music. We wanted to be strategic with how the show is dynamically with lighting. The final design has a lot of layers to it and it came together really nicely."

This rig specially selected a lot of ACME milestone fixtures, such as the SOLAR IMPULSE. With its breakthrough 1000W white LED technology, Solar Impulse helped to produce punchy lights at an output of over 35,000lumens, which is the perfect replacement for traditional discharge lamp fixtures up to 1400W. The CRI 90/70 filter switch made it an attractive option for various applications including video shoots, fashion shows, and more. Another one, DOTLINE360, offered excellent color lines to the tour. "Whether the very narrow-angle light curtain, the wide-angle wash, or the powerful strobing, Dotline360 did a great job."

"We’ve dreamt about this moment for a long time and I feel more rejuvenated and excited than ever to get back out there as safely as possible to connect in-person over live music again, especially with so much new material to share," Thomas RhettEN continued. "There’s no feeling in the world like it—see y’all out there!"
